In 2018, I rode 47 different electric bicycles across three continents. Not one of them felt right. They were heavy. Loud. Clunky. They looked like appliances — not something you'd be proud to park outside a restaurant.
So I gathered a small team — a composite engineer from Airbus, a motor designer from Bosch, and a industrial designer who'd spent a decade at Pininfarina. Our mandate was simple: make the bicycle I wished existed.
Raitooe was never about building an e-bike company. It was about solving a personal frustration. The result is something we're genuinely proud to ride every single day — and we hope you will be too.
Great design is invisible. You shouldn't notice the motor, the battery, or the sensors. You should only notice the ride — how the city opens up, how the hills flatten, how the distance between you and where you want to be suddenly feels like nothing.
Every gram matters. Every weld, every layup, every bolt is questioned. We use the same aerospace-grade carbon fiber found in Formula 1. Our motor? Designed from scratch — not off the shelf. Because "good enough" was never part of the conversation.
We don't design for numbers. We design for moments — the confidence at a wet intersection, the balance at a stoplight, the smile on a downhill coast. Our ride feel is tuned over thousands of kilometers of real-world testing across 14 cities.
Each Raitooe takes over 200 hours from concept to completion. Here's what that journey looks like.
Hundreds of sketches. Dozens of directions. We explore every proportion, every curve, every silhouette until the right form reveals itself.
CFD analysis for aerodynamics. FEA for structural integrity. Prototype X, Y, Z — each iteration closer to perfection.
T800 carbon layup by hand. CNC-machined dropout precision. Every frame spends 72 hours in the autoclave at exact temperature and pressure.
Hand-assembled by certified technicians. 37-point quality inspection. Real-world test ride on our private track before any bike ships.
